Valuing Your Self More

We all have our share of negative emotions. Depression. Sadness. Anger. Resentment or bitterness. Anxiety. And, a whole lot more.

It may be hard to see. But negative emotions are like signals or internal alarms. They indicate that you are cut off from some important part of your core being. They tell you that you’re ignoring or violating something essential about your self.

For example, if your parent or spouse criticizes you, you may find your self becoming angry or depressed. That’s understandable. But to heal and grow, you must make your “valuing” of your self more sacred to you, regardless of how your parent or spouse treats you.

Although people or circumstances trigger many of your negative emotions, they are not really about them. It’s more about your need to value your self more.
