If you’re experiencing some type of abuse (physical, emotional, verbal etc) from a person, you can choose to choose. There are steps you can choose to take, particularly in the context of a relationship.
Here are recommended steps:
a. Get professional counseling support;
b. Ask your mate to go to this counselor with you (or go by yourself if he or she is unwilling);
c. Start setting limits from your own Personal Power or spirit of your life at the center called extraordinary self esteem (“Stop it right now!);
d. Stay in the present, trying to dwell neither on the past nor on your concerns for the future;
e. Be aware that you can leave any abusive situation;
f. Ask for changes that you want in your relationship
