What happens when you carry grudges

German dramatist Bettolt Brecht said he kept a Japanese carving of a mask of an evil demon in his room.

He said he looks at the swollen veins of the demon’s forehead to remind him what a terrible strain it is to be evil.

It is an equal strain to harbor anger, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, cruelty, revenge.

If you remain that, perhaps you’ve become like your parent or significant other that harmed you in your past – the very thing you’ve wanted to avoid.

You can heal – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – when you choose the Therapy of forgiveness.

It’s for your own healing sake, not for the other.
